Here at Meltrons we’ve spent more than 25 years providing Bench Scales that take pride of place on worktops and benches in businesses across New Zealand. If you’re looking to join them, the sheer variety of sizes, forms, and weighing capacities in our range ensures we have a Bench Scale that’s perfectly suited to your commercial weighing requirements.

For Supermarkets and Delis, our line-up of Price Computing Scales accurately calculate prices depending on the total weight, while Laboratories and Pharmacies regularly rely on the accuracy of our Precision Balance Scales for counting and percentage weighing in an industry where precision is paramount.

When the operating environment calls for a heavy duty scale, our range of corrosion resistant, waterproof, and IP65, 66, and 67 rated scales are up for the job. Corrosion resistance is crucial in harsh industrial operating conditions like food processing, the chemicals industry, pharmaceutical applications, or production lines.

WHICH BENCH SCALES ARE BEST SUITED FOR WET OR WASHDOWN ENVIRONMENTS?

When weighing wet or sticky materials, weigh scales are bound to get messy and, in turn, require cleaning. That’s why we provide a range of IP65, 66, and 67 rated Stainless Steel Bench Scales that are ideally suited for wet or washdown environments in commercial or industrial sectors including food and pharmaceuticals.

WHAT IS THE BATTERY LIFE LIKE?

Businesses relying on a scale to meet the demands of daily weighing operations need a battery to match. Our selection of Bench Scales boast a variety of power-saving features, with rechargeable batteries (up to 70 hours per charge in the MW Series) that increase portability and make operating sans power sources a cinch.

WHAT ARE THE MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM WEIGHING CAPACITIES?

From lightweight tasks to real heavy lifting, our scales are up to the task. The MW Series, for example, features models capable of 3, 6, 15, and 25kgs respectively, through to a more significant 8 to 120kgs with Adam Equipment’s GBK and GFK Scales. For smaller, more precise weighing, check out the MPB Precision Balance series which offers ranges of 150 through to 6000 grams.

CAN THE PAN SIZES HANDLE A VARIETY OF OBJECTS?

Weighing capacity is just one factor, size is another. You’ll find Bench Scales here that are ideal for most small to medium-sized weighing tasks, with pan sizes ranging from 120mm diameter in our MPB Precision Balance series, through to the MC Piece Counting’s more sizeable 300mm x 230mm.
